UNIVERSITIES BILLIONNAIRES AND ECONOMIC MELTDOWN

Universities that produced billionaires were featured in the news at yahoo finance by Marie Thibault last February 14, 2009. According to the author, Harvard University has 54 former students. Among them were Michael Bloomberg, Summer Redstone, David Rockefeller Sr., and William Randolph Hearst III. Stanford University came second with Charles Schwab, Master in computer science and Google founders Serge Brin and Larry Page, and Steve Ballmer, the CEO of Microsoft. The University of Pennsylvania came third with 18 former students who turned billionaires. Among them were Peter Briger Jr., the magnate of hedge fund, Marc Rowan, Ronald and Leonard Lauder and Michael Milken. Columbia University and Yale University tied with 16 graduates who became billionaires, and many more. But, despite the knowledge that we have more than enough knowledgeables’, why was there that economic meltdown?
